Klassic Cat was born from the desire to preserve: at the beginning the desire to preserve the Catalan culture, with a special interest in living composers and Catalan art songs. As time has gone by, Klassic Cat has evolved into the search to document and preserve unjustly forgotten music. Forming part of Edicions Albert Moraleda, Klassic Cat strives to help creative artists discover and preserve what has somehow been left behind or forgotten.
Klassic Cat is a branch label of Edicions Moraleda whose initial goal was the documentation and recovery of some part of the Catalan music heritage.
However, it has since expanded, now encompassing a much broader repertoire including contemporary music as well as the discovering of different nationalistic music from different countries.
